
Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu.
Arrival in KTM. Drive to Haatiban, south-west of the city and a 45mins drive to the resort that looks down to the city, situated at a height of 1850 mts. A wonderful and peaceful place set amidst a thick pine forest , to wind down and prepare yourself during the free afternoon for your onward journey. Overnight.
Day 2 : Hike to Champadevi, 2278m.
After an early breakfast, take a walk up to the Champadevi hill 2278 mts, to acclimatize a bit and get into the trekking rhythm . Return to the resort for a light lunch before continuing on to do some sightseeing by car to the nearby village of Dashinkali and a visit to the local Buddhist temple on the way at Pharping. Overnight.
Day 3 : Fly to Pokhara, 900m.
Breakfast on the terrace of the resort before the drive to the airport for a 20 minute flight to Pokhara. On arrival drive to the lakeside, group baggage will go on to your hotel. After a coffee break at a lakeside restaurant, we take a short boat ride to the other side of Phewa Lake and begin the walk up to the Peace Pagoda. Walking up through dense tropical forests, enjoy the amazing views of the beautiful valley below and the mountains beyond. The whole climb up to the Pagoda does not take more than 2 hours. From the top of the hill you have a 180 degree panoramic view of Pokhara town. Walk down via a different trail to the pick up point (1 hour) and drive to your hotel. Late light lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free. Overnight.
Day 4 : Fly to Jomsom, Trek to Thasang, 2800 m.
Early flight to Jomsom (2800 m). Along the famous Kaligandaki valley, the worlds deepest gorge, situated between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Once in Jomsom you get the feeling that you are transported to almost a different time zone! The trek begins at an
easy pace, with the sights and sounds keeping you engrossed, before you know it the beautiful village of Marpha (2665 m) appears. Visit the impressive village gompa before stopping for a tea break. Continue walking along the Kali Gandaki River for another 2
hours or so before making a lunch break stop at Tucche. There was a time in the early 50's and 60's when Tucche served as an important trading post with custom offices as it was a centre for trading between Tibet and Nepal. The remaining walking time to
Thasang is quickly covered and before long we arrive at the village of Larjung from where the last bit of the day ends with an ascent for about 30 minutes to our hotel located at the village of Bujorkot.
Day 5 : Day Excursion.
The next two day's program will be excursions planned with picnic lunches to explore and indulge in the absolute marvel of nature and one of the best kept secret places of the Annapurna region.
The quaint farming village of Bujurkot remains quite untouched and original. The whole day will be spent exploring the area with ample opportunity to study the people and their culture and at the same time to walk up to a viewing hill point to capture the best
possible views of the magnificent surrounding mountains.
Day 6 : Day excursion to Titi and Bhucchorcho.
Full day excursion with picnic lunch to Titi and Bhucchorcho Lake. Through rhododendron forests, which are in full bloom from April through May, to the glacial lakes. The views along the way of the Mt. Annapurna 1, Dhaulagiri and the Tucche peak are terrific. Return to lodge for farewell dinner and overnight.
Day 7 : Walk to Jomsom via Syang village.
Retrace to Marpha but this time taking the old trekking old trial along to the vibrant Chairo Tibetan refugee camp, one of the oldest refugee camps set up. Visit the monastery before continuing on to Marpha village where a lunch break is planned. If
time permits the walk back to Jomsom will be via one of the oldest villages of the area, Syang, and finishing the day with a quick visit to the Jomsom museum. Overnight in Jomsom.
Day 8 : Walk to Kagbeni, 2810m.
Trek to Kagbeni (2810 m), gateway to the kingdom of Mustang. The landscape is wind swept and desert like, the Nilgiri with its snow clad peak pointing upwards towards the blue skies is a permanent fixture in the scenery. To avoid the winds that begin to play up from mid morning we start early from Jomsom. Walking along the Thak Khola it is a common sight to come across Lopa's (people from Mustang) riding by in their colorfully decorated horses, pilgrims on their way to Muktinath and hardened trekkers coming across the Thorangla pass (5416 m). The walk from Jomsom to Kagbeni is completed in half a day and in time for lunch at our Kagbeni lodge. There is ample time in the afternoon to visit the Sakyapa monastery and stroll through this village that is literally at a crossroad of the past.
Day 9: Day Excursion to Dagardzong, 3466 m.
Day hike to Dagardzong (3466 mts) with packed lunch. Great view's to the north of Mustang, from Thorang La pass all the way down to Tuckche village and the Kali Gandaki flowing by. The magnificent Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri with its snow clad peaks look
awesome from here. Return to Kagbeni.
Day 10 : Day Excursion to Muktinath (3800m).
The day offers two options, a long and short version treks to Muktinath (3800m) the highest point of the trek. For the stronger walkers a full day trek to Muktinath and back is planned, the leisurely version will be to the village of Jajarkot about halfway to Muktinath. Muktinath is one of the most significant pilgrim places on earth for the Hindus. Its unique combination of cold water springs, natural gas fires and sea fossils that are millions of years old is considered sacred. Return to Kagbeni for the night.
Day 11 : Jomsom via the old Bonpa village of Lupra,2960 m.
Retrace to Jomsom via the old Bonpa village of Lupra (2960 m), one of the oldest settlements of the region. Highlight of the day is a visit to the Lupra monastery which was founded in the 11th century by Lupragpa, a famous Bon master. It is very seldom
that tourists or as a matter of fact even locals visit this place. Return to the main trail and continue on to Jomsom. Overnight.
Day 12 : Back to Kathmandu.
Early morning flight to Pokhara. Connect flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to your city hotel.
Day 13 : Sight-Seeing Kathmandu.
Free day in Kathmandu with option of sightseeing. Farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 14 : International departure.
